As part of The Ageless Woman Teleseminar Program held weekly at no charge, I will be interviewing Dr. Allen Power, author of Dementia Beyond Drugs: Changing the Culture of Care On Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 6 pm Eastern Time.

Dr. Power will explain why we need to radically re-frame our view of dementia and the ways in which we provide care. His new book outlines a pathway for continued engagement, growth and well-being throughout one’s life with dementia.

You’ll be able to listen to the interview by telephone or by webcast on the computer, saving any long distance charges.

Register even if you are not able to attend at the assigned time as you will receive the audio replay after the program is completed.

Dr. Allen Power is an internist, geriatrician and an international expert in transformational models of nursing home care.

His new book, Dementia Beyond Drugs: Changing the Culture of Care takes a radical new look at America’s most dreaded diagnosis, to find new opportunities for life, growth and hope.

I launched The Ageless Woman Teleseminar Program with show topics focusing on issues of concern to boomer women.

With Alzheimer’s Disease becoming more and more common, there are many women who are faced with the responsibility of managing the care of their parents. Many of the shows deal with ways of coping with this situation. Other shows educate the listeners on new brain research and ways that we can take better care of our body and brains.

Another concern for boomer women is taking time to continue to pursue their own interests-whether that is a business or some other personal passion. It is easy to put the needs of everyone else first and just forget about what is important to you as an individual.

Information about each week’s program is published at http://www.SuzanneHolmanBlog.com
